How To Setup Custom Insider Alert Push Notifications

How To

On Unusual Whales, you can set up any number of Custom Alerts for anything from News, Watchlists, Political Transactions, Fed Speakers, all the way to specific individual options contracts. In this article, we’ll cover how to set up Custom Alerts for any time an insider transaction occurs for one of the stocks in your Watchlist. To learn how to create and manage Watchlists, you can read this article →

In order to set up Custom Alerts, you must first install the Unusual Whales app and enable push notifications. You can learn how to do that in this article →

First, let’s navigate to the Custom Alerts page. From the Unusual Whales Homepage, select the “Resources” dropdown. Then, select “Custom Alerts”

You can also get to Custom Alerts directly from any other platform page via the navigation tab on the left side of the page. All you have to do is click the three lines, select “Screeners”, then “Custom Alerts”.

Setting the Alert

Here, we’re greeted with the Custom Alerts Settings page, we want to select “Insider Trades” from the left column dropdown. Then, in the center column, click the Watchlists dropdown, and select the Watchlist you want to receive Insider Transaction alerts for. Then, you can name and fine-tune your filter in the right column. You can limit the alerts to only Directors, Officers, or 10% owners of a given company, and set the Premium range. For this example, we’ve left all settings blank, meaning all Insider transactions for our watchlist titled Flow Posts will send push notifications.
