What is the difference between Market Tide, SPY Net Flow, and SPY Holdings Net Flow?
While the three charts look very similar they all pull data from different sources.
All three charts use the SPY price line as a measurement of how the market is performing. The three charts also use the same general methodology to produce the shown data, but as previously mentioned all three charts pull data from different sources.
The Market Tide chart pulls data from tickers across the market. This includes, but is not limited to, ETF options flow as well as equity options flow.
The SPY Net Flow chart ONLY takes into consideration options flow from the ticker SPY.
The SPY Holdings Net Flow chart ONLY takes into consideration options flow from tickers that make up the S&P 500.
The QQQ Net Flow chart also features a ‘holding's view.
