Sources have informed the Daily Mail that Ghislaine Maxwell, now 63, remains the sole individual imprisoned in connection with Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged underage sex trafficking ring, even though Epstein himself was widely believed to have orchestrated a vast network involving underage girls.
Epstein’s victims have long claimed they were passed around to powerful friends and billionaire associates, many of whom visited his multiple residences—including his private island, Little Saint James.
A source close to the matter said, “Despite all the speculation, Ghislaine was never offered any sort of plea agreement. She would be more than willing to testify before Congress and share her side of the story. No government agency has ever approached her to discuss what she knows. She remains the only person jailed over Epstein’s crimes and would welcome a chance to speak directly to the American public.”
What exactly that “truth” entails is still uncertain. Maxwell was convicted in 2022 for her role in a decade-long scheme that involved the sexual exploitation and abuse of multiple minor girls alongside Epstein.
Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence for child sex trafficking, yet remains the only person incarcerated while questions linger about Epstein’s wealthy social circle and their possible involvement.
She has argued that she should have been shielded from prosecution based on a Non-Prosecution Agreement (NPA) Epstein signed in 2007. That deal, often criticized as a “sweetheart” arrangement, saw Epstein plead guilty to minor prostitution charges and spend relatively little time behind bars.
Controversy has continued to swirl around the Department of Justice’s assertion that no “Epstein client list” exists, along with the release of surveillance footage from New York’s Metropolitan Correctional Center, where Epstein died in 2019. Authorities have said the videos confirm Epstein took his own life while awaiting trial for sex trafficking. However, critics have pointed out that a key minute is missing from the footage, and the video neither shows the cell door nor the inside of the cell itself.
This unresolved scandal—and what many allege is a cover-up—has sparked frustration among supporters of former President Trump. Some in Trump’s MAGA base have gone so far as to call for Attorney General Pam Bondi to be removed from office, accusing her of failing to follow through on promises to release Epstein-related files and information about his elite social contacts.
In response to growing accusations, Trump took to Truth Social Saturday night, writing:
“For years, it’s Epstein, over and over again. Why are we not giving publicity to files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan and the losers and criminals of the Biden administration?”
The Epstein controversy was also a hot topic at this weekend’s Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida, hosted by Turning Point USA, a conservative group instrumental in galvanizing young Trump supporters during the last election cycle.
One attendee, Sharon Allen, told NBC News, “It’s not even about Pam Bondi for me. It’s like—look, Trump, we voted for you because you were supposed to be different. Now you need to prove it.”
A source close to Maxwell reaffirmed to the Daily Mail that the former Epstein associate—who continues to claim innocence—“would welcome the opportunity to speak before Congress and share her account.”
The source added, “There have been Cong
