Joe Biden is potentially looking to formally launch his reelection campaign next week.

Biden’s aides have planned for the possibility of making a video announcement to coincide with the anniversary of his previous campaign launch, per Bloomberg.

“I’ve already made that calculus, we’ll announce it relatively soon,” Biden said of his 2024 plans, speaking to reporters before leaving Ireland. “The trip here just reinforced my sense of optimism about what can be done.”

In October, he first said that he intends to run for president in 2024 and has the first lady's support.

What he said: “I have not made that formal decision, but it’s my intention. My intention to run again. And we have time to make that decision,” the president told MSNBC.

Details: Biden told MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart that he hasn't formally announced his candidacy yet because “a whole series of regulations kick in" once he does.
