The share of US adults that say they or at least someone within their household owns or leases an electric vehicle sits at just 8%. The same percentage said their household has a plug-in hybrid vehicle.

- Not enough EV choices - over 20% said it was major, while less than 60% said it was minor.
- EV ownership wasn't aligned with personal values - less than 20% said it was major, while almost 40% said it was minor.
- Didn't want to be the first person they knew to have an EV - over 10% said it was major, while less than 30% said it was minor.
