Mark Zuckerberg of $META has won gold in his first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament over the weekend.

Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook and Meta, has added a new accomplishment to his list: becoming a medalist in martial arts.

In a surprising turn of events, Zuckerberg won gold and silver medals at his debut Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament in Redwood City, California. This unexpected victory has taken many in the martial arts community, and likely beyond, by surprise.

The tech mogul, aged 38, revealed that he developed an interest in the sport early during the pandemic. He shared his triumph on Instagram, stating, "I participated in my first jiu-jitsu tournament and secured some medals for the Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu team."

Khai "the Shadow" Wu, one of Zuckerberg's trainers, praised his pupil's performance: "Watching Zuck compete yesterday was quite remarkable. Every match was challenging and every victory was hard-earned. It was a privilege to coach and provide any guidance I could."

Several renowned athletes have expressed their support for Zuckerberg's newfound interest.
