Elon Musk Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize by Norwegian MP

Norwegian Member of Parliament Marius Nilsen has nominated Elon Musk for the Nobel Peace Prize, citing his strong defense of free speech, open dialogue, and the right to express one's views. Nilsen also pointed to Musk’s decision to allow Ukraine’s military access to his Starlink satellite internet system as another reason for the nomination.

While anyone meeting the nomination criteria can be put forward, the Nobel Committee will release a shortlist of serious contenders in March. Musk’s nomination also comes at a time when he is facing potential EU sanctions over content moderation policies on his X platform.

For now, Musk joins a list of candidates that includes Donald Trump, nominated by Rep. Claudia Tenney, and Julian Assange, among others.
