Joe Rogan has endorsed Donald Trump for President after speaking to Elon Musk

Popular podcaster Joe Rogan, who recently hosted a nearly three-hour interview with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, announced on Monday that he has endorsed the former president in the 2024 race for the White House. Trump is set to face Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming election on November 5, which recent polls suggest could be a close contest. Harris, meanwhile, has garnered a number of celebrity endorsements.

"For the record, yes, that's an endorsement of Trump," Rogan wrote on X, while sharing a clip from his interview with billionaire Elon Musk, who has also endorsed Trump. Rogan’s post added that Musk presented "the most compelling case for Trump."

The recent interview between Rogan and Trump, released in late October on both YouTube and Spotify, covered various topics and has since amassed over 45 million views on YouTube. Trump had previously criticized Rogan in August via his social media platform Truth Social after the podcaster praised then-independent candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. Kennedy has since withdrawn from the race and endorsed Trump, with Trump later referring to Rogan as a "good guy."

Both Trump and Harris have been reaching out to potential voters through appearances on popular podcasts, alongside traditional rallies and media appearances. Spotify noted in March that "The Joe Rogan Experience" has about 14.5 million followers, making it the platform’s most popular podcast by a wide margin. Rogan also has over 19 million followers on Instagram and 18 million subscribers on YouTube. According to a YouGov poll, 81% of Rogan's listeners are male, and 56% are under 35—a demographic with a strong leaning toward Trump over Harris.

Although Harris' team was in talks about a possible appearance on Rogan’s show, her campaign confirmed in late October that she would not participate.

Joining Musk and other celebrity endorsements for Trump, such as wrestler Hulk Hogan, Rogan’s support contrasts with Harris' extensive list of endorsements from notable figures. Her backers include basketball star LeBron James, actress Meryl Streep, comedian Chris Rock, and former talk show host Oprah Winfrey, along with superstar singers Beyoncé and Taylor Swift.
