The two are expected to discuss potential personnel appointments for Trump's administration, according to the Wall Street Journal, which cited sources familiar with the matter. During his campaign, Trump pledged to create a council dedicated to developing clear and transparent regulatory guidelines for Bitcoin (BTC-USD) and other cryptocurrencies.
On November 7, Armstrong expressed his support for SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce as a candidate for SEC chair, describing her in a post on X as "smart, fair, professional," and capable of collaborating across party lines.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) also experienced a boost, rising 2.0% to $91.4K on Monday afternoon.
