Foreign nationals with $5 million to spare can now register for a notification list for what’s being called a fast track to U.S. citizenship — known as the "Trump Card."
President Donald Trump announced the program on Truth Social Wednesday evening.
“FOR FIVE MILLION $DOLLARS, THE TRUMP CARD IS COMING!” he posted. “Thousands have been calling and asking how they can sign up to ride a beautiful road in gaining access to the Greatest Country and Market anywhere in the World. It’s called THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! THE WAITING LIST IS NOW OPEN. To sign up, go to – TRUMPCARD.GOV.”
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick reposted the message, adding, “The wait is over,” and shared a link to the official website where people can learn more about the card.
The site features a gold card image emblazoned with Trump’s headshot, his signature, and the number “5,000,000.” The card is labeled “The Trump Card.”

Lutnick, speaking last month at Axios’ Building the Future event, told co-founder Mike Allen that the Trump Card website would go live within a week.
“The details of that will come soon after, but people can start to register,” Lutnick said. “And all that will come over a matter of the next weeks — not months, weeks.”
He acknowledged the high price tag, noting that while not everyone will be able to afford the Trump Card, it is aimed at those “who can afford to help America pay off its debt.”
“Why wouldn’t they want a plan B?” Lutnick said. “God forbid something bad happens, and you come to the airport in America and the person in immigration says, ‘Welcome home,’ right? As opposed to, ‘Where the heck am I going if something bad’s happening in my country?’”
Everyone who applies will be vetted, Lutnick added, emphasizing that people investing $5 million for a visa are likely to be high-value individuals who will bring businesses and opportunity to the U.S.
“And they’re going to pay $5 million,” he said.
Lutnick also floated a broader projection: if 200,000 people were to buy the Trump Card, that would mean $1 trillion in investment.
