“Tonight, I am announcing that Canada will respond to the U.S. trade action with 25 per cent tariffs on $155 billion worth of American goods,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau declared in a televised address to the nation on Saturday.

In a statement on Saturday, Trump confirmed:
“I have implemented a 25% tariff on imports from Mexico and Canada (10% on Canadian energy) and an additional 10% tariff on China.”

According to the executive order, these tariffs will take effect at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, February 4.
