Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said there will be more job cuts into 2023. This is a part of the company's cost-reduction plans, which include wiping out 10,000 jobs.

Jassy said the people within the company were notified, and some employees were given 60 days to find new jobs within the company. Employees would get severance packages based on tenure if they failed to land new roles.

Amazon's payroll ballooned to $1.62 million at the end of March but dropped to $1.54 million as of Sept 30.
