Elon Musk Wants Paid Subscriptions to Result in 50% of Twitter Revenue

Per Business Insider and NYT

Elon Musk wants half of Twitter's total revenue from paid subscriptions. The new CEO believes this decision would help with conversations, and credit card payment could help eliminate bots.

Before shutting down, Twitter Blue already had 140,000 paying subscribers as of November 15. Musk's goal is to generate enough revenue to pay the $1 billion in interest owed on Twitter's debt yearly. Matt Navarra, a social media expert, estimates 10 million paying customers need to be added to achieve this.
