Twitter is Working on Premium Video Access Feature as a New Way to Bring in Revenue

Per The Washington Post

An internal email obtained by The Washington Post revealed that Twitter is working on a premium video access feature. The feature would charge users to view certain videos, with Twitter taking a cut.

The new feature could be called Paywalled Video and has a target of one to two weeks before it launches. The email reveals that the team has "identified the risk as high," citing copyrighted content, creator/user trust issues, and legal compliance.

The paywall video feature can charge users $1, $2, $5, or $10.
