Twitter Sued for Elon Musk's Plans for Mass Layoffs

Per Bloomberg

A class-action lawsuit was filed against Twitter as it intends to start cutting staff, per an email to employees. This was just shortly after Musk acquired the platform for $44 billion.

Large companies are restricted from mass layoffs without at least 60 days of advanced notice per the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.

In June, Elon Musk's Tesla was sued after the CEO laid off 10% of its workforce. Tesla won a ruling which forced workers in the case to pursue claims in closed-door arbitration.
