Bachelorette party costs rise by 40% from 2021

Per Axios

There have been noticeable price increases in different things, from going out at night to other necessities. Axios reports that even the price of a bachelorette party has increased by 40% from 2021 to this year.

It was reported that the average bachelorette party in the US now costs close to $11,000 at $10,8090. In 2021, it was reported that a bachelorette party would only cost $7,700.

The data came from the Bach app, which plans parties, which studied data coming from over 100,000 parties for 2023 that were planned in-app. Here are some of the expenses covered in the bachelorette party.

  • Flights
  • Accommodations
  • Group experiences
  • Discretionary spending

The $10,800 would reportedly be for an average party size, which includes just nine people. Nicoletta Nadolski, a party coordinator at Rome, Ohio-based Lauren & Co. Events, gave a statement to Axios regarding the situation and their observations.

Nadolski: "We're seeing people spending a lot more, whether it's to have friends come to town for a weekend out in Cleveland, traveling for a beach vacation or making a trip to Nashville."

Nadolski also noted that it would cost $500 to $1,000 per attendee for a weekend-long bachelorette party in Cleveland.

It was recently also reported that even the rich wanted to tone down their travel expenses, with recent reports saying that most of them didn't want to spend over $500 a night for hotel rooms. A study found that an even smaller group, just 2%, entertained spending over $3,000 a night.

In September, it was also reported that luxury-home purchases dropped by a record-breaking 28%. This came as non-luxury homes also significantly declined, falling by 19.5% during the last three months ending on Aug 31.

The last time luxury homes fell this hard was in 2012, when the market saw a 23.2% plunge in luxury home purchases.
