The theatrical release of Warner Bros.' movie "Barbie" has achieved a domestic box office gross of $575.4 million, with a recent earning of $2.55 million. This makes "Barbie" the highest-grossing movie for Warner Bros. in terms of domestic box office earnings, surpassing the previous record held by 2008's "The Dark Knight" with $534.9 million. It's worth noting that "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II" remains Warner Bros.' highest-grossing movie globally with $1.34 billion.
“Barbie” is now the highest-grossing movie at the domestic box office this year, taking the crown away from “Super Mario Bros"

While "Barbie" has become Warner Bros.' top-grossing movie domestically, it has not yet surpassed the year-to-date worldwide box office earnings of "Super Mario," which has garnered $1.35 billion. "Super Mario Bros" is also set to be re-released for National Cinema Day and is available on Universal's streaming service Peacock. On the other hand, "Barbie" is continuing to perform well, and it is scheduled to have its first Imax run later in September, accompanied by never-before-seen end credits footage.
