Domino's Pizza exclusive third-party delivery partner is now Uber Eats until at least 2024

Per Axios

Domino's Pizza has just entered an exclusive partnership with Uber Eats and Postmates, making them the company's official third-party delivery vessel. Postmates is also owned by Uber.

Domino workers are still expected to handle the delivery of the actual items from their restaurants whenever people order food through the apps. This would make it different from how other companies function with Uber Eats.

The company said that the deal would be exclusive until 2024. Domino's reportedly has 19,500 locations around the world, and in February, the company announced that it saw a decline in its delivery business despite sales growth for DoorDash and Uber.

In June, Domino's Sandeep Reddy, its CFO, said that the company would become open to third-party delivery should it really find more opportunity than risk. The company has already partnered with Uber Eats in 27 markets internationally.

Toward the end of March, Domino's Pizza entered liquidity in Italy, closing after eight years. This came as the company struggled to win the hearts of Italians, who're known for their love of pizza.

Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub have joined forces to challenge a new NYC law that pushes minimum wage for app food delivery workers.
