Capitol Hill staffers are being notified about “enhanced operations” around the Capitol complex tomorrow in light of Hamas leader calling for a “Day of Rage” around the world.
Following threats of cruelty and bloodshed from the former chief of Hamas, the New York Police Department ordered all officers to report for duty on Friday while wearing their official attire.
Khaled Meshaal, a former Hamas leader, urged Muslims worldwide to get together to fight “jihad” and to offer their “blood and souls” in sacrifice as part of a large-scale protest on Friday, October 13th.
All cops were instructed to stand ready in a document that the NYPD distributed on Wednesday night, according to the New York Post.
“All officers that are scheduled for duty are to report in uniform,” an NYPD spokesperson told Straus News.
One well placed source told Straus News, “It’s a lot of chatter but we are not seeing any credible threats at this point.”
”There will definitely be a lot of protestors on both sides [on Oct. 13],” said one source. “If you have any friends or family working in the city, I’d tell them to take a half a day off.”
