Salesforce is adding ChatGPT to Slack to help draft replies

Per The Verge

Salesforce, the owner of Slack, has just launched ChatGPT in Slack to help users write replies to colleagues. Users can use OpenAI's chatbot through their Slack app to help draft replies instead of manually making replies.

The Salesforce announcement revealed how the chatbot would help users make replies instead of needing to write them themselves. Users will still be able to edit responses to ensure replies align with the conversation.

So far, OpenAI has released a ChatGPT beta, where companies can sign up to join the waitlist. The bot is expected to help users find answers using AI-powered research tools.

Salesforce also has broader plans when it comes to the use of another artificial intelligence tool for its CRM. The company has its own take on the ChatGPT model called the Einstein GPT.

The company announced that the upcoming Einstein GPT would bring together the technology of OpenAI and Salesforce. The company's AI tool will reportedly help users generate emails and customer query responses.

Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff gave a statement regarding how their decision comes at an important time since almost every company is looking for automated, intelligent, and personalized ways of connecting to customers.

Benioff: “The world is experiencing one of the most profound technological shifts with the rise of real-time technologies and generative AI."

The Salesforce CEO shared how the company's Einstein GPT will be integrated with OpenAI and how it would be a way for them to provide AI to all of their customers.

Recently, Salesforce let go of 8,000 employees but maintained its $10 million annual payments to Matthew McConaughey, who served as the company's "creative adviser."

It was recently reported that OpenAI's ChatGPT is expected to replace jobs, including customer service agents, journalists, software engineers, and more. Other positions expected to be replaced by the AI tool include market research analysts, data analysts, accountants, and even teachers.
