Terra founder Do Kwon sentenced to 4-month jail time after being found guilty of document forgery

Per ABC News

After the collapse of Terra, in relation to the collapse of LUNA and its stablecoin UST, Do Kwon has been floating, facing lawsuits but hasn't yet been sentenced, until now. Terraform Labs Do Kwon has officially been charged with four months in prison for forged document usage.

Do Kwon was charged along with another South Korean citizen. This came after he was arrested in Montenegro in March.

Do Kwon was arrested via an international arrest warrant and has been extradited from Montenegro as per the requests of both South Korea and the United States. When Do Kwon was arrested along with the other person, he was using fake Costa Rican passports and trying to fly to Dubai.

The Terra founder was arrested at the Podgorica Airport. His lawyer in Podgorica, Goran Rodic, gave a statement regarding the situation.

Do Kwon: “The court found they were guilty of the criminal act of forging identification documents,”

In September, Interpol officially issued a red notice for Do Kwon, which would've requested law enforcement agencies worldwide to locate and arrest the Terraform Labs founder.

In February, the SEC reportedly charged Terraform and CEO Do Kwon with defrauding investors. During the time of the report, Kwon's whereabouts remained unknown but he was, at that time, believed to be in Serbia.
