Elon Musk has said that if Donald Trump loses to Kamala Harris, he is " fucked"

Billionaire tech executive Elon Musk painted a stark picture of the upcoming presidential election during an appearance with Donald Trump, declaring the Republican nominee as the only candidate capable of "preserving democracy in America."

Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla and owner of X, joined Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday—the same site where Trump survived an assassination attempt in July. Musk warned that "this will be the last election" if Trump does not win. Sporting a "Make America Great Again" cap, Musk acknowledged the ominous tone of his statement, saying, "As you can see, I am not just MAGA—I am Dark MAGA."

This marked Musk's first appearance at one of Trump's rallies, reflecting their growing partnership in the final stages of the presidential race. Musk has formed a super political action committee (PAC) to support Trump's campaign, heavily investing in voter outreach. Trump, in turn, has said that he would appoint Musk to head a government efficiency commission if he wins the presidency again.

In August, Trump and Musk had a rare public conversation on X, during which the former president discussed the July assassination attempt, illegal immigration, and his plans to reduce government regulations.

Before a large crowd on Saturday, Musk framed Trump as a defender of free speech, accusing Democrats of wanting "to take away your freedom of speech, your right to bear arms, and your right to vote, effectively." He also criticized California’s push to ban voter ID requirements.

The rally took place at the location where Trump narrowly survived an assassination attempt that grazed his right ear and claimed the life of Trump supporter Corey Comperatore. Several others were injured in the attack.

On Saturday, members of Comperatore’s family, along with first responders and others who were at the July rally, returned to the site. Trump was also joined by his running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, son Eric Trump, daughter-in-law and Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump, as well as Pennsylvania lawmakers and local sheriffs.
