Former President Donald Trump is leading President Biden in six of the seven most competitive states in the 2024 election

In six of the seven competitive states, Trump leads by varying margins, ranging from 6 percentage points ahead in North Carolina to just 1 percentage point in Georgia, among respondents asked whom they would support in a matchup between the two. Biden is tied with Trump in Wisconsin, with each receiving 46 percent support.

The margin of error for each state was plus or minus 4 percentage points. The poll, conducted by phone and text from March 17 to 24, included 600 registered voters from Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

In the 2020 presidential election, Biden won six of these states, with only North Carolina going to Trump.

Many surveyed individuals remain undecided, ranging from 13 percent in Georgia to eight percent in Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.

The survey also inquired about the approval ratings for both Biden and Trump while in office. On average, respondents viewed Trump's time in office more favorably, with 51 percent approving of the job he did, compared to 38 percent for Biden.
